OF THE «WORLD THROUGH THE EYES OF CHILDREN»
INTERNATIONAL SATELLITE TELEVISION CHANNEL
The world is progressively engulfed in processes of global magnitude. The mass media plays a pivotal role in merger of cultures and religions, the information reaches the farthest corners of the globe with a speed of light. We start to realize, that our planet is, precisely, our small house, where all of us, are hostages to the disseminated information. Our good old imagery and intentions are coming to a failure. We are being scared, disappointed, made ruthless by torrents of blood, violence, cynicism, pornography poured into peoples’ minds worldwide.
What is awaiting our children in the nearest future? What programs are being implanted into the minds of next generations by mass media? Positive information – inspires creativity and cure; while negative one destroys, humiliates, turns a person into an animal - spiteful and egocentric.
Which of these two trends is predominant? Thorough research has shown that the adult world is destructive and consumption-wise, while the world of children is the world of creation. Ideas and creative impulses of children have met low demand so far.
There time has now come to set up an alternative TV channel. It will be unique in a sense that all the information, all programs and films will be made by children and youth of the different countries themselves. They will cultivate, entertain, educate the adults, cover world events, advertise, and offer new approaches to solving various problems, etc.
We have decided to swap children and adults’ roles on our channel. Let children present all the information the way they see and feel it. Our task is to help them to set up necessary prerequisites for their work and ingenuity.
It will allow children enter all spheres of adult life with a video camera. On channels are adults’ broadcast panel. But there will be one alternative channel. Children are mirror of our souls.
By this channel we will look into ourselves. The time has come to try it and to learn things we did not know about our own selves before.
